The purpose of the special convention is to endorse a candidate for the office of Second Vice President of Lions Club International. The candidate to be endorsed is Past International Director Harold Ott.

The District 14-F Special Convention will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from the hours of 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The Special convention will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled August District 14-F Cabinet meeting.

All Club Secretaries should have received one voting credential for each ten Club members. It is imperative that we have a good turn out for this special endorsement vote. All Clubs are strongly urged to bring a full compliment of voters.

This is probably the last best chance to have a Pennsylvanian at the top level of Lions International as the Second Vice President would advance to International President in two years.
The Greene Township Lions Club is sponsoring the Cabinet meeting on August 15, 2010 at the Greene Township Building at 9333 Tate Road, Erie, PA 16509 starting with coffee at 9:30 AM.
There will be a strip steak dinner with serving starting at 11:30 AM. The cost is $12.00 and reservations are required.

From the East: take Route 6 thru Corry to Route 89 north to Wattsburg and then follow Route 8 for about 15 miles toward Erie. You will pass St. Boniface Church and School on the right. The second road on the left is Tate Road. (Hammett Motors is in the right side of Route 8)
From the West: take the Route 8 south exit off I-90 and go about two miles to a curve in the road and Tate Road is on the right.
From the South: Take Route 8 through Titusville and Union City to Wattsburg and then follow the directions from the East.
